According to industry tracking platform Sacnilk, the combined global earnings of the two films now stand at over Rs 3019 crore. This remarkable achievement solidifies Dhurandhar's position as the highest-grossing franchise in Indian cinema history, setting a new benchmark for commercial success.
Surpassing Cinematic Giants
With this accomplishment, the Dhurandhar franchise has overtaken some of Indian cinema's most celebrated blockbuster series:
- Baahubali Series: SS Rajamouli's epic saga starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia previously held the record with combined collections of Rs 2438 crore.

Its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, premiered on March 19 in Hindi and multiple South Indian languages. Benefiting from a clear theatrical run due to postponements of major competing films like Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Peddi, The Paradise, and Dacoit, the sequel has grossed over Rs 1712 crore globally, significantly contributing to the franchise's record-breaking total.
A Rare Double Achievement
The Dhurandhar franchise has accomplished another remarkable feat: it's the only Indian film series where both installments have individually crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide. In domestic markets, the first film earned a net collection of Rs 840 crore, while the sequel has already surpassed Rs 1083 crore and continues its theatrical run.
This places Dhurandhar alongside elite company, as only a handful of Indian films including Pushpa 2: The Rule, KGF: Chapter 2, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion have crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark domestically.
