The overseas market also continued to contribute significantly. The film earned Rs 25 crore overseas on Day 3 alone, pushing its total overseas gross collection to Rs 70 crore. Combined with domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has now reached an impressive Rs 117.17 crore.

Malayalam version of Mohanlal film continues to dominate

The Malayalam version remained the biggest contributor on Day 3. It collected Rs 11.65 crore net from 3,114 shows and recorded a strong occupancy of 67 percent. The Telugu version earned Rs 1.20 crore from 1,356 shows, while the Tamil version contributed Rs 0.60 crore. The Kannada version added Rs 25 lakhs to the total.

The Malayalam version recorded an overall occupancy of 66.52 percent, with evening shows touching 75.42 percent and night shows reaching 72.75 percent. The Tamil version also showed encouraging traction during night shows by registering 67.11 percent occupancy.

Kerala emerges as the biggest market

Kerala once again emerged as the film's strongest territory. On Day 3, the state contributed Rs 9.25 crore gross, comfortably leading all other markets. Karnataka followed with Rs 2.50 crore gross, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 1.50 crore. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 1.45 crore, and the rest of India generated Rs 1.29 crore.

Review praises tension but raises franchise concerns

While audiences have turned out in large numbers, critical opinion has been more divided. ETimes acknowledged that the film succeeds in delivering the suspense and emotional payoff associated with the franchise. The review stated, 'The final portions still manage to deliver the tension and emotional payoff expected from the Drishyam brand. Yet the larger question remains unavoidable: was a third part truly necessary? The original film had closure within its moral ambiguity, while the second part expanded the psychological consequences effectively. This third chapter often feels like a continuation driven more by the weight of a successful franchise than by an urgent storytelling need.'

The review further added, 'And as the film leaves space for yet another sequel, another question emerges — how long can one crime continue to generate new narratives before the emotional impact begins to dilute itself?'
