Ikkis Box Office Slump: Collections Dip Below ₹1 Crore on 2nd Friday
Ikkis box office dips below ₹1 crore mark

The war drama 'Ikkis', featuring Agastya Nanda and veteran actor Dharmendra, has hit its first significant roadblock at the domestic box office. The film, which opened strongly on New Year's Day, has seen its daily collections drop below the crucial ₹1 crore mark for the first time.

A Notable Slowdown in Momentum

According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Ikkis' managed to collect approximately ₹85 lakh net in India on its second Friday. This dip is significant as the film had consistently maintained daily earnings above ₹1 crore throughout its opening week, wrapping up its first seven days with a healthy estimated total of ₹25.5 crore net.

The film's total India net collection now stands at around ₹26.35 crore. When looking at the gross figures, the India total is estimated at ₹31.65 crore. Adding an estimated ₹2 crore from overseas markets, the worldwide cumulative collection for 'Ikkis' has reached roughly ₹33.65 crore so far.

Facing Competition from 'The Raja Saab'

The slowdown for 'Ikkis' coincides with the theatrical release of the much-anticipated Prabhas-starrer 'The Raja Saab', which launched this weekend. The Telugu film made a massive splash, reportedly earning around ₹45 crore on its opening day alone. It dominated its home market and also drew an estimated ₹5.5 to 6 crore net from Hindi circuits, directly competing for audience share.

What Lies Ahead for Ikkis?

All eyes are now on how 'Ikkis' performs over the remainder of the weekend and into its second week. The film's ability to hold its screens and attract audiences despite the new competition will be critical for its long-term box office journey. The coming days will determine if this Friday's dip is a temporary setback or the beginning of a steeper decline.

The performance highlights the competitive nature of the box office, where even films with a strong opening must contend with new releases vying for the same audience's attention and wallet.
