Advance ticket sales for Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday's much-anticipated romantic comedy, 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', have commenced on a relatively modest scale. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on Christmas Day, December 25.
Early Box Office Numbers Revealed
As per the latest industry tracking data, the film has garnered an estimated net advance collection of Rs 61 lakh for its opening day in the Hindi market. When the value of blocked seats is included, the total advance figure rises to approximately Rs 96.57 lakh.
State-Wise Breakdown of Sales
The advance booking trends show a clear regional leader. Maharashtra is contributing the most, with net collections of Rs 25.27 lakh, which jumps to around Rs 36.42 lakh with blocked seats. Delhi occupies the second spot, adding Rs 11.2 lakh in net bookings and Rs 20.32 lakh overall. Madhya Pradesh is not far behind, recording Rs 10.66 lakh in net advances and roughly Rs 12.72 lakh in total.
Holiday Release Advantage and Competition
Industry analysts anticipate a significant surge in bookings as the release date approaches. The Christmas holiday period is expected to provide a major boost, potentially driving strong walk-in audiences over the opening weekend. However, the film faces stiff competition from the currently dominant releases, 'Dhurandhar' and 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'.
The journey to the Christmas release window was not straightforward for 'Tu Meri Main Tera'. The film's release date underwent multiple changes. It was first slated for a Valentine's Day release on February 13, 2026, then preponed to January 31, 2025 for the New Year weekend, before finally being advanced again to secure its current Christmas spot.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film features a strong supporting cast including Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, Aruna Irani, and Tiku Talsania. All eyes are now on whether the combined star power, festive season, and last-minute ticket rush will enable the romantic comedy to carve out a successful opening amidst the existing box office giants.
