Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma Addresses Students at NBT Award Ceremony
Lucknow: Additional chief secretary of basic and secondary education department Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma addressed students at a meritorious award ceremony organised by Nav Bharat Times (NBT) on Thursday. He shared key points on success with students who recently cleared board examinations.
Speaking at the event, Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma said, “Book learning gives a degree, but life skills are needed for daily challenges.” He shared 11 points for success, including positive attitude, regular hard work, good health, strong social support, continuous learning, limited screen time, time management, wide reading, independent writing, humility and control over fear and desire. He emphasised that proper time management is important for progress in studies and life.
Experts Discuss Role of Mother Tongue
Experts at the event discussed the role of mother tongue in learning and thinking. They said that the use of native language can support original ideas and innovation, while distancing from it may limit creative growth. They referred to global examples where countries use their own languages in research and development, such as Germany, France and China.
Programme Concludes with Recreational Activities
The programme concluded with students spending time in recreational activities and interacting informally after the session. Many students said the programme helped them relax after months of preparation for exams and result pressure.
