Bail in POCSO Case: Accused Again Booked for Threatening Survivor

A man who was out on bail in a kidnapping and POCSO case has been booked again by the Chhola police in Bhopal for allegedly threatening the survivor, pressuring her to withdraw the case, and attempting to force a compromise. The accused had been arrested earlier in 2025 after allegedly abducting a minor girl and keeping her confined for about eight days. The girl managed to escape and return to her family, leading to the registration of a case under sections related to kidnapping and rape under the BNS and POCSO Act. He was arrested, sent to jail, and later secured bail.

Fresh Complaint Against the Accused

According to the fresh complaint, since his release on bail, the accused has been repeatedly pressuring the survivor to compromise in the case. Police said he allegedly threatened to circulate old objectionable photographs and videos of the girl on social media if she refused to comply. The accused also confronted the survivor inside a court premises, where he caught hold of her hand and threatened her to settle the matter. When she refused, he began following her and continued to pressure her to marry him.

Additional Allegations

The survivor further alleged that the accused had threatened and intimidated her through other means and had even orchestrated an attack on her. Police said the accused, around 25 years old and already married, is currently absconding. Based on the survivor's complaint, the Chhola police registered another case against him on Tuesday and launched a search to trace and arrest him. Further investigation is underway.
