BHOPAL: Four miscreants allegedly abducted a 22-year-old tribal man, took him to a plantation area, stripped him naked, and brutally assaulted him in the Hanumanganj area. When he became exhausted and semi-conscious, they urinated on his face. The accused recorded the entire incident themselves and circulated it on social media.
Police Action
Hanumanganj police registered a case on charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide and assault and have arrested the accused. Police said the complainant lives with his family in Kamla Nagar. He was at Nadira Bus Stand on the night of April 26–27 with his two friends, having tea at night, cops said.
Details of the Incident
During this time, Guttu alias Pistol, a resident of Naya Basera in Kamla Nagar, arrived and, under the pretext of conversation, made him sit in his car. Inside the car were Prem Thapa, Rohit Pawar, and a minor. All four began questioning him about his friend and neighbour Aniket. When he denied having any information, they started beating him. The accused drove the car towards Chhola and Karond Square and then into a forest beyond Karond.
The victim was subjected to severe physical and mental torture. The accused not only assaulted him but also recorded the act to humiliate him further. The video was later shared on social media platforms, causing outrage among the local community.
Police have taken swift action and arrested all four accused. They are being interrogated to determine the motive behind the crime. Further investigation is underway.
