Bully Ray Defends Jade Cargill After Wig Mishap on SmackDown

Jade Cargill found herself at the center of online discussion following an unfortunate wardrobe mishap during the June 12 edition of WWE SmackDown. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has stepped forward to defend the former AEW star, praising her professionalism in a difficult situation.

The Incident on SmackDown

Reports indicate that the awkward situation occurred during the June 12 episode of SmackDown, where Cargill competed against Charlotte Flair, Lyra Valkyria, and Sol Ruca in a Queen of the Ring first-round Fatal Four-Way match. During the bout, Cargill's wig accidentally came loose. The mishap happened when Flair and Ruca executed a top-rope superplex, forcing Cargill to roll out of the ring and attempt to fix the issue on the fly. Despite the setback, Cargill handled the situation professionally, which prompted Bully Ray to come to her defense and express his appreciation.

Bully Ray's Praise

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray commended Jade Cargill's professionalism during the recently held WWE SmackDown, even as her wig came loose while she was wrestling in the ring with her fellow competitors. The incident occurred during the Queen of the Ring Fatal Four-Way match. During the bout, Cargill's wig became dislodged, creating an awkward moment in front of a live television audience. Despite this, Cargill continued competing and remained actively involved in the match until the closing stages.

Some WWE fans mocked the incident online, but Bully Ray took a different stance during an episode of Busted Open Radio. He applauded Cargill for maintaining her professionalism and composure, continuing the match without allowing the incident to derail her performance.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray said, “I’m giving a shout out to Jade Cargill. Good job, girlfriend. You were put in a very rough, uncomfortable situation.” He also noted that accidents like this happen in wrestling all the time, regardless of who is in the ring.

Defending Against Trolls

Ray defended her against social media trolls, stating, “Lot of people making fun of Jade on social media over the weekend for the unfortunate mishap of the wig. It happens, wardrobe malfunctions happen, hair extensions get pulled out. Dudes have crapped themselves in the ring; anything can happen.”

Appreciating her composure and professionalism, he added, “For a woman to have her wig come off on national television, it’s pretty easy to roll out and roll under the ring, and hopefully nobody sees you, right? She persevered, she kept on trucking, and she got through the match. She did what she had to do. Good job, Jade.” (Source: Ringside News)

It would have been easy for Cargill to hide her wig and hope the cameras missed it, but she did not do that. She stayed in the match and finished the job. Though Jade Cargill did not win the match, she earned massive respect for how she handled a bad situation live on national television.
