In a recent podcast, Chahal opened up about the immense emotional toll the separation and its aftermath took on him. He revealed facing severe mental health challenges, including battling depression and anxiety attacks.
"I had suicidal thoughts. I was tired of my life. I would cry for two hours a day, sleep just two hours. This went on for over 40 days," the cricketer shared, noting that only those closest to him were aware of his suffering.

Chahal also used the platform to directly address the rumours and allegations that swirled around him during the divorce proceedings. He firmly denied ever being unfaithful in his life.
"After my divorce, I was called a cheater. But I have never cheated in my life. I'm extremely loyal—probably more than most. For my loved ones, I've always thought from the heart," he stated.
