According to People, Teigen announced her father's death on Instagram and reflected on how quickly her day changed. She wrote, 'Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one.' Teigen described the day as starting like any other, with a quick shower, cleaning up dog toy stuffing, answering emails, spending time with friends, and preparing for a birthday event. Then came the devastating news. 'And then my dad just like...f---ing died,' she wrote in the post.
The 40-year-old said she had often thought about losing her father because he had always been an 'old dad.' Still, the moment hit her hard. 'I've thought about this phone call for years. I'll be ready,' she wrote while reflecting on the grief she felt after his death.
John Legend Pays Tribute to Papa Ron
Teigen also shared a video of Ron at a dinner table joking about salmon. She later explained that the clip showed him talking about raising her in the Pacific Northwest. 'He really loved it but boy did he hate salmon,' she wrote.
