Bhopal: Police in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district have registered an FIR against a man for allegedly posting objectionable and derogatory content on social media targeting the daughter of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav.

Case Registered at Kotwali Police Station

The case was registered on Thursday at Kotwali police station following a complaint by the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Yuva Yadav Mahasabha. The accused, identified as Brajesh Bhanu Sharma, a resident of Guna, has been booked under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Objectionable Content on Facebook

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly shared objectionable and misleading content on Facebook, triggering outrage among members of the Yadav community. Dharmendra Yadav, district president of the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Yuva Yadav Mahasabha, submitted a written complaint to police on Wednesday, demanding strict action against the accused.

Community Outrage and Demand for Arrest

Members of the organisation alleged that the post hurt sentiments and sought immediate arrest to prevent similar incidents. Police said an FIR has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway. The organisation also warned of protests if prompt action is not taken against the accused.
