CHENNAI: DMK deputy general secretary and MP Kanimozhi on Saturday expressed shock over allegations that a TVK member in Salem threatened, sexually abused and filmed more than 50 women.
Kanimozhi's Reaction
In a post on X, she said the allegations were disturbing and urged the state government to take stringent action against those involved.
Comparison with Pollachi Case
Drawing a comparison with the Pollachi sexual assault case, Kanimozhi said the government should not attempt to shield the accused as the AIADMK regime allegedly did during the Pollachi scandal.
She demanded a proper investigation into the case and said the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
Call for Victim Safety
The DMK leader also urged the government to ensure the safety of all affected women and guarantee them justice.
