In a heartwarming yet hilarious family outing, Kylie Kelce finally took her young daughters to experience the electric atmosphere of Arrowhead Stadium to watch their uncle, star tight end Travis Kelce, play for the Kansas City Chiefs. The December 14 game against the Los Angeles Chargers was a significant moment for the adults, but as Kylie revealed on her podcast, the children had a decidedly different perspective.
A Family Affair in the Chiefs Suite
Speaking on the December 18 episode of her "Not Gonna Lie" podcast, Kylie Kelce opened up about the long-awaited trip. "The girls had not yet seen Uncle Trav play in Arrowhead Stadium," she explained, adding with a joke that she had "some business" being there. The family group included her husband, retired Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce, and Travis Kelce's fiancée, global music icon Taylor Swift.
All four Kelce children—Wyatt (6), Elliotte (4), Bennett (2), and baby Finn (8 months)—were present in the suite. Observers noted Taylor Swift actively engaging with the kids, sharing high-fives and interactions throughout the afternoon. For Kylie, the moment held extra weight. Her older daughters were present at Super Bowl LVII in 2023, where the Chiefs defeated the Eagles. This time, the setting was a regular-season home game, offering a new experience.
"It was also super exciting to get to see friends and family that were there, because the girls were so excited to get to watch a game with all of them," Kylie shared.
"They Are Not That Interested in Football"
However, the novelty of the massive stadium and the roaring crowd had its limits once the actual game began. Kylie was candid about her daughters' true feelings towards the sport. "They are not that interested in football, to be quite honest with you," she admitted. "They actually yell at us any time we try to put football on the TV and only get on board after a little while of realizing that they can freely yell."
The youngest member of the family, Finn, provided the comic relief of the day. "Finnie slept for, like, an hour and a half there, so she's a real one," Kylie said with a laugh. "She actually slept through all the screaming and cheering, which is hilarious to me."
Game Outcome Overshadowed by Family Bonds
The family gathering occurred during a tough period for the Chiefs, who lost the game 16-13 to the Chargers, a result that mathematically ended their playoff hopes for the season. The defeat was compounded by a serious injury to star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered an ACL tear. Surgery was successfully performed on December 15, with rehabilitation beginning immediately.
Travis Kelce addressed the loss and the team's morale on his "New Heights" podcast on December 17. The veteran player emphasized professionalism regardless of the standings. "We got three games left... the integrity of who you are as a professional, as a player, you gotta love this... And Chiefs Kingdom, we're gonna give you everything we got," he stated passionately.
Despite the disappointing result on the field, the weekend reinforced what truly matters for the Kelce clan. Kylie heaped praise on Travis for his unwavering dedication as an uncle. "He'll do anything to make [the kids] happy," she said. "He wants to flip them, play with them, get on the floor, play Barbies. He'll dance until they tell him to stop. It's all of it." The trip to Arrowhead Stadium, therefore, was less about football and more about the cherished, chaotic, and loving moments of family.
