Lakshmi R Iyer Slams Desi Bling's Misogynistic Views

The reality show Desi Bling, featuring Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra, has been generating buzz since its release. While the couple's engagement on the show grabbed attention, other participants have also sparked discussions. Businessman Satish Sanpal and his wife Tabinda have faced criticism for their perceived misogynistic views. Filmmaker Lakshmi R Iyer has now reacted to the controversy through a social media post, strongly condemning the narrative being promoted.

Lakshmi R Iyer's Strong Reaction

In her post, Lakshmi wrote: "Saw a clip from a reality show where a wife said she's okay with her husband cheating as long as the woman isn't repeated. Stop normalising this bullshit. Stop setting terrible examples in the name of being 'modern' or 'cool.' Being loyal is still attractive. Being honest is still attractive. Stop letting social media convince you otherwise."

Her post received support from TV star Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who commented: "Yaa… apparently the man will fall in love if he meets the same woman."

Satish Sanpal's Controversial Statements

On the show, Satish expressed his love for money and the attention it brings. He said: "Paisa khuda to nahi, par khuda se kam bhi nahi. Acha lagta hai na ladkiya dekhti hain." (Money is not God, but it is no less than God. It feels nice when women notice.)

Tabinda's Remarks Draw Ire

Tabinda's comments also drew criticism. She stated: "Satish ko bahaut acha lagta hai ladkiyon ke saath time bitana. I was jealous, but I trust him." (Satish loves to spend time with other women. I was jealous, but I trust him.)

She further added: "Since I am with Satish, I massage his feet every morning. He wakes up like a prince. As a Hindu, he believes that if a wife touches her husband's feet every morning, toh bahaut Lakshmi aati hai." (Since I am with Satish, I massage his feet every morning. He wakes up like a prince. As a Hindu, he believes that if a wife touches her husband's feet every morning, it brings great prosperity.)

Tejasswi Prakash, reacting to this in the voiceover, said: "Keep at it, Binda ji, per dabate rahiye, I am not doing that."
