National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar recently visited the revered Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, where he offered his prayers and attended the sacred Bhasma Aarti. Expressing his spiritual connection, Bhandarkar stated that he feels extremely peaceful at the temple.

Spiritual Experience at Mahakaleshwar

Speaking exclusively to IANS in Ujjain, Bhandarkar shared his profound experience. "I am very happy to be here at Bhasma Aarti. I feel very good when I get the energy and devotion here. I have a very strong connection with Mahakaal," he said. The filmmaker revealed that he has been visiting the temple annually for the past 20 to 22 years. "I have attended the Bhasma Aarti after many years. I feel very good here. I feel satisfied and peaceful here," he added.

Prayers and Appreciation for Development

Bhandarkar mentioned that he prayed for everyone, including his friends, relatives, and family. "I want Mahakaal to bless us all," he said. He also noted the positive changes in Ujjain over the years. "Whenever I come to Ujjain, I see many changes. Every year I see that the corridors are so beautiful. The roads are very big. The hotels are very good. There has been a lot of development," he observed. He extended his congratulations to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, saying, "I would like to congratulate the CM sir, who has done a great job and developed the city well."

Update on 'The Wives'

Turning to his professional life, Bhandarkar provided an update on his upcoming film 'The Wives'. The movie, which stars Mouni Roy, Sonali Kulkarni, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhat, Saurabh Sachdeva, Arjan Bajwa, and Freddy Daruwala, delves into the hidden realities and struggles of Bollywood star wives. "My upcoming film is The Wives of Bollywood. I am working on the post-production. I think it will be released in August or September. I will announce the release date as soon as possible. I will also take the blessings of Mahakaal here," the filmmaker concluded.

Madhur Bhandarkar is renowned for directing critically acclaimed films such as 'Chandni Bar', 'Page 3', 'Traffic Signal', and 'Fashion'. He has also co-produced the Bengali film 'Avijatrik', which is based on the novel 'Aparajito' by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay.
