Megan Thee Stallion was visibly emotional during her latest Broadway performance of 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical', struggling to hold back tears just hours after confirming her breakup with boyfriend Klay Thompson.
During the show's closing moments, videos captured the rapper briefly pausing and turning her head, seemingly overcome with emotion. The audience responded with applause and cheers of "We love you!" as she fought to regain her composure. After a short moment, she continued the performance.
The videos from the event went viral shortly after Megan publicly confirmed the end of her relationship with Thompson. In a statement released through her representative, she said, "Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward."
Her statement came after she shared a post on Instagram Stories appearing to accuse Thompson of cheating. "Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got 'cold feet'," she wrote over a black background.
Megan and Thompson were first linked last summer and made their red carpet debut at the rapper's Inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City on July 16. At the event, Megan described Thompson as the "nicest person I've ever met in my life."
