On the anniversary of Meghana Raj and her late husband, Kannada actor Chiranjeevi Sarja, the actress revealed that she is part of Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film 'Jailer 2'. She described this as a dream fulfilled for her late husband, who idolized the Tamil superstar.
A Dream Project with Rajinikanth
Meghana Raj took to her Instagram account to announce her involvement in the sequel, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. She shared several old photographs with her husband Chiranjeevi Sarja, capturing their happy moments together. One photo showed Chiranjeevi alongside Rajinikanth. She reminisced about how much Chiranjeevi admired the legendary actor.
She wrote, "You worshipped him! And you made me meet the god of Indian cinema in a way I didn't even dream of! A film with the ONE AND ONLY, RAJINI SIR! #jailer2. We did it!"
Emotional Meeting with Rajinikanth
Meghana also shared photos and videos of her meeting with Rajinikanth. In one video, he signed an action figure that belonged to Chiranjeevi. She also posted pictures of Rajinikanth hugging her and her son Raayan. This was a poignant way to remember Chiranjeevi on their eighth anniversary.

Chiranjeevi Sarja began his acting career in 2009 with 'Vayuputra' and appeared in around 25 films. He married Meghana in 2018. Sadly, he passed away in June 2020 at the age of 35 due to a heart attack. At that time, Meghana was expecting their child. She later gave birth to their son Raayan in October 2020.
'Jailer 2' is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.
