Megyn Kelly Doubts Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Chirayu Rana
Megyn Kelly Questions Credibility of Rana Assault Lawsuit

Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly has weighed in on the latest developments in the Chirayu Rana-Lora Hajdini sexual assault lawsuit, expressing skepticism about the allegations. Kelly suggested that the claims might be fabricated, arguing that Hajdini, whom she described as very attractive, would not be interested in someone like Rana. Kelly characterized Rana as nerdy and unremarkable, questioning why anyone would risk their career for him.

Kelly's Remarks on Rana's Credibility

Kelly pointed to several red flags in Rana's background, including an apparent lie about his father's death and his short tenures at various companies before and after his time at JPMorgan Chase. She noted that Rana had never held a job for more than two years, suggesting a pattern of instability.

Michael Knowles Joins the Discussion

Podcaster Michael Knowles joined Kelly to analyze the lawsuit, highlighting a specific detail that he found implausible. According to the lawsuit, Hajdini allegedly said to Rana during sexual advances, 'I bet your little, Asian fishhead wife doesn't have these cannons.' Knowles argued that no woman would refer to her breasts as 'cannons,' and he suggested that the entire lawsuit might be a product of Rana's fantasy.

Kelly agreed with Knowles, adding that Rana appeared to be the problem rather than JPMorgan Chase. She also dismissed the explanation given by Rana's attorney for the alleged faking of his father's death. Attorney Daniel Kaiser told the Wall Street Journal that Rana did not fake his father's death but instead took bereavement leave for a father-figure. Kelly countered that bereavement leave does not apply to the death of a building superintendent.

Legal Proceedings

The case is scheduled to be heard in a New York state court on May 26. Both JPMorgan Chase and Hajdini have denied the allegations. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that JPMorgan offered Rana approximately $1 million to settle the matter privately before the lawsuit became public. Rana reportedly rejected that offer and is seeking over $20 million in damages.

The ongoing legal battle continues to attract attention, with public figures like Kelly and Knowles casting doubt on the validity of the claims.
