The alleged affair rumors surrounding Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini have only intensified as both individuals attempt to distance themselves from the growing speculation. Despite the New England Patriots' head coach resuming his professional duties, a fresh report has brought the alleged relationship back into the spotlight.
New Details Emerge in Alleged Affair
According to a recent report from TMZ Sports, Vrabel and Russini reportedly rented a boat in Putnam County, Tennessee, for a duration of two to three hours. The source indicated that the two were the only individuals on the boat during that time. Notably, at that point, Russini was pregnant with her older son, Michael. The report further states that Russini refused to pose for any photographs with the staff working on the boat.
Photo Restrictions and Cautious Behavior
As per TMZ Sports, the source revealed, "We're also told Vrabel and Russini appeared cautious about photos being taken, and while she declined to pose at all with the staff…" The source added, "Vrabel agreed to snap one pic, but asked that no images be publicly posted." This cautious behavior has fueled further speculation among fans, though neither Vrabel nor Russini has publicly addressed the allegations.
Vrabel Returns to Work as Russini Steps Back
In the wake of the rumors, Dianna Russini, a former New York Times NFL insider and reporter, has largely disappeared from the public eye. Meanwhile, Mike Vrabel issued a statement days earlier, saying, "I take accountability for my actions and the actions that caused a distraction to the people that I care most about. My family, this football team, the organization and the fans…" He added, "My priorities are my family and this football and in that order…There's a balance there that I'm going to create. My family needs me this weekend and that's where I'll be."
Despite expectations of potential termination due to the controversy, Vrabel returned to work shortly thereafter and was even spotted having dinner with his wife in Utah. The situation remains unresolved as both parties maintain their silence.
