MP YouTuber Robbed of Rs 8 Lakh After Gold Post

A village-based YouTuber from Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district, who had posted videos showcasing her jewellery just two days earlier, was robbed of cash and valuables worth nearly Rs 8 lakh after unidentified burglars broke into her house late Friday night. The burglars even made away with a crate of energy drink, police said.

Incident Details

The burglary took place at Mohani Khyavda village under Narwar police station limits, where social media influencer Rachna Gurjar lives with her family. Investigators are examining whether the accused may have tracked her lifestyle and valuables through her social media posts, though police said no direct link has been established so far.

Rachna, who frequently uploads videos featuring gold and silver jewellery, luxury home decor and her lavish rural lifestyle, had posted visuals of jewellery on her social media accounts just two days before the theft, locals said.

How the Burglary Occurred

According to the complaint, the burglars entered the property after cutting through the boundary wire fencing. They bolted the bedroom door of Rachna and her husband, Udal Singh Gurjar, from outside while the couple slept. The burglars also reportedly tilted CCTV cameras upward before breaking open cupboards and locks inside the house.

Cash worth Rs 1.91 lakh, a gold mangalsutra, four gold rings, a silver kardhani (waist belt) and other valuables were stolen. The accused also took away a crate of energy drink kept at the house. The total value of stolen items is estimated at Rs 7-8 lakh.

Discovery of Theft

The theft came to light around 4am when Rachna woke up to drink water and found the bedroom locked from outside. After alerting family members, the couple found cupboards broken open and valuables missing.

Police teams reached the spot and have begun scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the accused.
