Nagpur: A 33-year-old man was arrested by Ajni Police for allegedly abusing, assaulting, and threatening a woman traffic constable on duty. The incident occurred on May 4, around 7 pm, at Shatabdi Chowk, where the constable was performing her duty along with her colleague.
Details of the Incident
The constable stopped a two-wheeler rider for rash driving and not wearing a helmet. The accused, identified as Inzamamul Kaleem Khan, a resident of Kharbi, allegedly obstructed the police personnel, used abusive language, and punched her on the head. He further threatened to abduct her.
Legal Action Taken
Based on a complaint lodged by the constable, the Ajni police station registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused was promptly arrested. Further investigation is underway to gather more evidence and ensure strict legal action.
