Nawazuddin Siddiqui Doesn't Consider Himself an Icon, Says He's Still Learning
Nawazuddin Siddiqui Still Learning, Not an Icon Yet

In a film industry that thrives on stardom and self-promotion, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is refreshingly different. The acclaimed actor, known for some of Hindi cinema's most powerful performances, says he still does not consider himself a good actor, let alone an icon.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui on His Craft

Active in films since the late 1990s, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has delivered unforgettable performances in 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'Manjhi: The Mountain Man', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', and 'Thackeray', earning widespread recognition as one of the most compelling performers of his generation. Yet, none of it has made him complacent. Talking about the same in an interview with DNA, he said, "I don't consider myself an icon. I haven't become an actor yet; I am still learning, still evolving."

Acting as a Lifelong Journey

For Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the craft of acting is not a milestone to be achieved but a continuous, demanding process. He has spoken openly about the patience and discipline it requires, summing it up simply: "Becoming a good actor is a lifelong pursuit, and even a lifetime feels too short for it."
