Nayab Midha's Rajkumari Tour to Cover 15 North American Cities

Acclaimed poet, storyteller and performer Nayab Midha has announced the North American leg of Rajkumari, her celebrated live spoken-word production, in collaboration with Tarashna and Oho Productions Inc. Running from September to October 2026, the tour will cover 15 cities across the United States and Canada, making it the most extensive spoken-word and storytelling tour by an Indian poet in North America to date.

The tour will travel through Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas, Phoenix, Vancouver, the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Raleigh, Washington D.C., New Jersey, Detroit, Toronto and New York, bringing Midha’s distinctive blend of poetry and storytelling to audiences across the continent.

An Immersive Theatrical Experience

Designed as an immersive theatrical experience, Rajkumari combines poetry, music, humour and narrative performance in a 2.5-hour production that explores themes of identity, relationships, resilience, self-discovery and hope. Framed as a contemporary storytelling journey, the show seeks to create new narratives for modern audiences while drawing on the enduring power of shared human experiences.

What the Poet Says

Speaking about the tour, Nayab Midha said, “At its heart, Rajkumari is a celebration of the human experience—of love, loss, courage, laughter and everything in between. Through every story, poem and song, my hope has always been to create a space where people feel seen, understood and a little less alone. As Rajkumari travels across North America, I hope audiences leave with the message that has guided so much of my work: ‘Mad Heart, Be Brave.’ Because sometimes courage is simply choosing to keep your heart open.”

Significant Milestone

Parul Mundra, Founder of Tarashna, described the North American tour as a significant milestone in Midha’s artistic journey. She noted that the production has consistently resonated with audiences and that its international expansion reflects the growing momentum behind Midha’s work during 2026.

Redefining Spoken Word

Imthiaz Sherriff, Founder and CEO of Oho Productions Inc., said the tour aims to redefine perceptions of spoken-word performance by taking the art form beyond intimate venues and onto some of North America’s most prominent stages. He likened the movement to the evolution of stand-up comedy from a niche pursuit into a global mainstream industry.

Expected to draw thousands of attendees across the United States and Canada, the Rajkumari North America Tour further underscores Nayab Midha’s growing influence as one of the leading voices in contemporary Indian spoken word and live storytelling.
