Minaj Visits Oval Office for Trump Accounts Launch

Musician Nicki Minaj met US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Monday, July 6, 2026, during the kickoff event for Trump Accounts. Minaj declared Trump her favorite president, referencing her 2009 song lyrics that predicted the Oval Office meeting.

In a post on X, Minaj wrote: "Whoa!!!! #WhiteHouseBarbie with her favorite President of all time!!!" She also shared a photo with Trump, captioning it: "When you AND ya bestie poppin. Like?!?!!"

Lyrics Come Full Circle After 17 Years

Minaj highlighted the coincidence of her 2009 song 'I Get Crazy' where she rapped: "I be with the president up in the White House, if we in the Oval Office then the it's lights out." She responded to a fan post on X, saying: "So crazy!!! No pun intended. And the next line literally said: 'if we're in the Oval Office, then it's lights out'—which is another way of saying 'game over'. And here we are in the Oval Office. Lol. Who knew? 17 years ago."

The meeting was part of Trump ringing the NYSE and NASDAQ opening bell from the Oval Office for the first time ever, marking the official launch of Trump Accounts.

From Critic to Top Supporter

According to Time Magazine, Minaj's shift from an artist to a Trump supporter surprised many. CNN reported that Minaj, once critical of Trump, has emerged as one of his most prominent celebrity supporters and is reportedly contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to Trump Accounts.

Minaj declared herself the "No 1 fan" of Trump on January 29, 2026. Speaking at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington DC on Wednesday, she doubled down on her support, stating that the US President has been "bullied and smeared."

At the summit, Minaj said: "I don't know what to say, but I will say that I am probably the president's No. 1 fan. And that's not going to change. And the hate, or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it's gonna motivate all of us to support him more," as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.

White House Barbie Persona

Minaj referred to herself as 'White House Barbie', a nod to her fan base, the Barbz, who emulate her Barbie-like aesthetic of wigs, bright colors, and gloss. She also posted: "Alex is a lucky man" with the hashtag #WhitehouseBarbie, referencing her husband Kenneth Petty.
