Actor Niranjan Sudhindra, known for his roles in Kannada cinema, is all set to embark on a new journey in his personal life. The actor got engaged to his girlfriend, Dr Sanjana Raj, in Mysuru on Sunday. The intimate ceremony was attended only by close family members, including the Sudhindra, Upendra, and Balraj families.
How They Met
Sharing the details of his relationship, Niranjan revealed that he met Sanjana about ten months ago through common friends at a party. “She is a gynaecologist, and her caring nature is what attracted me to her,” he said. Sanjana works at a private hospital in the city and is described by Niranjan as independent, affectionate, and grounded. “She’s very much her own person, and I love that about her,” he added.
Family Reactions
Niranjan’s parents had been urging him to settle down for a while. He eventually took them out for dinner and broke the news of his relationship. “They were over the moon, and their happiness was evident at the engagement,” he recalled. Both families got along exceptionally well, as if they had known each other forever. The actor was especially glad that his grandparents were present to witness the moment.
Ready for Married Life
As for trading bachelorhood for married life, Niranjan says he is ready for the next phase. “Now it’s time to truly understand what love and companionship feel like, and Sanjana has brought that balance into my life,” he stated. He emphasized that while acting is his profession, his personal life is far more important. The celebration turned into a big happy family affair, with his cousins Aayush and Aishwarya, along with his brother Nidarshan, teasing the couple throughout.
Niranjan also shared that now, when he portrays a lover boy or a family-oriented guy on screen, he will be able to draw from real-life emotions. “Now I’ll really be playing out emotions that I’ve experienced in real life,” he said with a smile.
