Palash Muchhal Discharged After Stress-Related Hospitalization, Wedding Postponed
Palash Muchhal discharged, wedding with Smriti postponed

Music composer Palash Muchhal has been discharged from a Mumbai hospital after being treated for stress-related health complications that emerged following the postponement of his wedding to Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana.

Health Crisis After Wedding Postponement

The medical emergency unfolded after the couple's pre-wedding celebrations in Sangli were interrupted by unexpected health developments. Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas, experienced health complications that led to the immediate postponement of the wedding ceremonies that were already underway.

According to medical reports, Palash Muchhal was first admitted to a hospital in Sangli before being transferred to SRV Hospital in Mumbai for specialized care. Dr. Dipendra Tripathi, who treated the composer, provided crucial insights into his condition.

"Muchhal's condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event," Dr. Tripathi stated. "While certain levels were found to be slightly elevated, there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency. As a basic line of treatment in such cases, oxygen therapy was started immediately."

Family Reactions and Emotional Turmoil

The situation has created significant emotional distress for both families. Palash's mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed the depth of her son's emotional connection to Smriti's father and the impact the health crisis had on him.

"Palash cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated. He had to be kept in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip. An ECG and other tests were done. Everything came back normal, but the stress is too much," she explained to Hindustan Times.

She further emphasized the special bond between Palash and Smriti's father, noting: "Palash is very attached to uncle. He is closer to him than to Smriti. When he fell ill, Palash decided—even before Smriti—that they should not go ahead with the wedding rituals until uncle recovers."

Social Media Speculation and Family Defense

The unusual circumstances surrounding the wedding postponement sparked considerable speculation on social media platforms. The situation intensified when Smriti Mandhana deleted wedding-related announcements from her social media accounts, and her teammates unfollowed Palash on various platforms.

In response to the growing rumors, Palash's cousin Neeti Tak took to Instagram to defend him. "Palash is going through a critical condition today. You all should not judge him without knowing the truth. Technology has come far ahead of humans, and people should not form opinions based on rumours. Pray for him," she appealed to the public.

The formal announcement regarding the wedding status came from Smriti Mandhana's manager, Tuhin Mishra, who confirmed that the wedding has been 'indefinitely postponed' until her father makes a full recovery.

Both Shrinivas Mandhana and Palash Muchhal were discharged from medical care on Wednesday morning, though the wedding remains on hold indefinitely. Neither Palash Muchhal nor Smriti Mandhana has released any official statements about their postponed wedding plans since the health emergencies occurred.
