Palash Muchhal Hospitalized Following Wedding Postponement
Music composer Palash Muchhal, the fiancé of Indian women's cricket star Smriti Mandhana, was hospitalized due to stress-related health issues after their highly anticipated wedding was unexpectedly postponed. The composer, who was scheduled to marry Mandhana on November 23, 2025, experienced severe physical symptoms that required immediate medical attention.
Medical Condition and Treatment Details
According to Dr. Dipendra Tripathi, who treated Muchhal at SRV Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai, the composer's condition was directly linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event. Palash had complained of chest discomfort, severe chest pain, breathing difficulties, and general uneasiness.
Medical professionals conducted comprehensive tests including ECG and 2D echocardiography to assess his cardiac health. While some levels showed slight elevation, doctors confirmed there was no indication of a major medical emergency. The treatment protocol included immediate oxygen therapy, and Palash was subsequently moved to a general room for observation.
The composer was initially treated in Sangli, Smriti Mandhana's hometown, before traveling to Mumbai for continued care at SRV Hospital. Medical sources confirmed that Palash is expected to be discharged on Wednesday as his condition has stabilized.
Wedding Postponement and Family Health Crisis
The health crisis unfolded shortly after the couple made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding indefinitely. The postponement came as a result of Smriti Mandhana's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, falling ill and requiring hospitalization in Sangli.
In a touching revelation, Palash's mother Amita Muchhal shared with Hindustan Times that Palash was deeply affected by Shrinivas Mandhana's health condition. "He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated," she explained, noting that the composer shares a close bond with his future father-in-law.
Despite Shrinivas Mandhana being discharged from the hospital on Wednesday morning and Palash's improving health, the wedding remains postponed with no new date announced.
Addressing Speculation and Rumors
The sudden developments sparked speculation about the couple's relationship status, particularly after Smriti Mandhana deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram account. Several of her Indian cricket teammates also removed their wedding-related social media posts.
Amid the growing rumors, Palash's cousin Neeti Tak came to his defense through Instagram Stories. She urged people not to judge without knowing the truth and requested prayers for Palash's recovery, emphasizing that technology has outpaced human understanding in spreading rumors.
The situation highlights the immense pressure and emotional toll that public figures experience during personal crises, with both families navigating health challenges while managing public scrutiny.
