Actor Paramvir Singh Cheema has shared what he believes is the most significant challenge for aspiring actors who move to Mumbai. In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the 'Border 2' actor emphasized that proving one's talent and then maintaining a foothold in the industry are the true hurdles.
The Real Struggle: Proving Talent
When asked whether the biggest struggle in Mumbai is proving talent or basic survival, Paramvir responded, "To prove your talent, obviously. The rest is all a part of it." He elaborated that even after proving their abilities, actors often face difficulties in reaping the rewards. "Getting its return is also extremely difficult, as that sometimes takes a lot of time. At times, people who have already proved their talent still have to wait for work," he added.
Sustaining in the Industry
Paramvir concluded, "So to prove your talent and keep your place intact is the biggest struggle." This insight sheds light on the relentless pressure faced by artists in the competitive film industry.

On the work front, Paramvir is currently featured in 'Sapne vs Everyone Season 2', which premiered on May 1 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), the web series is written and directed by Ambrish Verma. The show follows two men chasing their dreams in contrasting worlds. Prashant, played by Paramvir Singh Cheema, strives to break into Mumbai's ruthless film industry, while Jimmy, portrayed by Ambrish Verma, navigates the cut-throat realms of real estate and politics.
The recently released trailer depicts Prashant leaving for Mumbai to pursue his aspirations, while Jimmy, who has successfully established his own real estate firm, encounters resistance.
