The actor's son-in-law, Vikas Bhalla, confirmed the hospitalization to India Today, stating it was primarily a precautionary measure due to his advancing age. He emphasized that there is no need for worry, calling it a regular, age-related procedure. Bhalla added that the legendary actor is expected to be discharged within the next few days.
According to a report by IANS, Prem Chopra has been under medical observation for a heart condition that was complicated by a viral and lung infection. Dr. Jalil Parker, one of the physicians treating the actor, provided a detailed update on his condition.

He confirmed that Prem Chopra is not in the ICU but in a regular hospital room and is not in a critical state. The doctor explained that while age-related issues take longer to resolve, the actor is stable and his discharge is anticipated in the next two to three days.
