Speaking to Vogue Arabia, Priyanka opened up about her early Bollywood struggles. 'I was a dreadful dancer when I first started. I was not able to act and nail the choreography at the same time, plus coordinate with my co-star. It was just too many things for my 19- or 20-year-old brain,' she recalled.
Priyanka Chopra Shares Her Experience with Raju Khan
Priyanka shared that her struggles led to a tense moment with senior choreographer Raju Khan on the sets of one of her early films. 'I was filming with Raju Khan in South Africa and missing my marks. He got so upset with me that he threw the mic down, saying, 'You might come from a pageant, but learn how to dance before you become an actress.' He just walked away, and I was so embarrassed,' she added. She noted that the two have since become 'great friends.'
Priyanka Chopra Trained with Katrina Kaif to Improve
Chopra also revealed that she took a disciplined approach to improve her dancing, putting in nearly six hours of practice every day with Katrina Kaif. During that phase, Katrina was still new in the industry but was already praised for her dance skills. With time and consistent effort, Priyanka shed the tag of being a 'dreadful dancer' and went on to impress audiences with songs like 'Desi Girl' and 'Ram Chahe Leela.'

Priyanka was last seen in 'The Bluff,' a pirate action film featuring Karl Urban. Upon its release last month, the movie became one of the most-watched titles on streaming globally. The pan-India time-travel adventure, starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is scheduled to hit screens in April 2027.
