Details of the Video

The video questioned Bhatt’s outfit from Milan Fashion Week, where she attended as a brand ambassador for a popular brand. It alleged that the look involved leather sourced from young animals, specifically mentioning “3-month-old baby calves and 4-month-old baby lambs.” The speaker in the video directly addressed Bhatt, asking, “Is this what you support Alia? Your cat, Edward, how would you feel if someone murdered your son and used his skin to make bags and shoes?”

The video went on to accuse the brand of “exploiting snakes, crocodiles, silkworms, cows, sheep, and goats.” Meanwhile, actor Smriti Khanna also reacted to the video in the comments section. She wrote, “Feeling extremely ashamed and guilty after watching this video. I turned vegan when I got my dog, but I still use leather goods. Thank you for making this. I will try to be a better person.”

Public Reaction

The post has divided the internet. Some users supported Ganguly’s move, praising her for using her platform to highlight animal welfare concerns. They agreed with the message of the video and called for more awareness around ethical fashion. Others, however, criticised Ganguly for targeting Bhatt and questioned the validity of the claims made in the video.

This incident has once again brought the issue of animal cruelty in the fashion industry to the forefront, sparking debates on social media about the ethics of using animal products in clothing and accessories.
