Actor Sehban Azim, recognized for his roles in popular television shows such as Dill Mill Gayye, Bepannaah, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Thapki Pyar Ki, Spy Bahu, and Tujhse Hai Raabta, speaks with profound admiration and gratitude when discussing his mother, Dr. Nigar Azim. For Sehban, his mother has been the most powerful influence in shaping not only his personality but also his entire perspective on life.
Mother as the Primary Influence
“It is a well-known fact that children are predominantly influenced by their parents, and I strongly believe that the earliest and most significant influence comes from the mother,” he states. “The majority of my learning has come from her. The foundation for basic knowledge, manners, etiquette, and self-awareness was established by my mother.”
The actor credits her not just for teaching him moral values but also for cultivating emotional sensitivity and empathy within him. “My understanding of other living beings, empathy, coexistence, sharing, and even my sensitivity towards life were all developed through her constant efforts,” he shares emotionally, before adding, “In the literal sense, my mother made me a human being.”
Simple Yet Meaningful Celebrations
When discussing Mother’s Day celebrations, Sehban reveals that he prefers to keep things simple but heartfelt. “If I am near her, I usually take her out for coffee or her favorite food. If I am away, I send her flowers because she absolutely adores them,” he explains.
Acknowledging Sacrifices
He also recognizes the countless sacrifices his mother made while raising him and his siblings. “I always thank her for all the efforts and sacrifices she made to raise us so beautifully. But no matter how much I express my gratitude, she simply brushes it off and says, ‘Son, this is every mother’s duty, and we did what we could,’ as if it was nothing extraordinary,” he says with affection.
Unmatched Love
For Sehban, a mother’s love remains unparalleled. “Only a mother can teach you the unconditional form of love, and my mother does it effortlessly,” he concludes.
