The Kaushal family is overflowing with joy and gratitude following the arrival of their newest member. Veteran action director and proud grandfather Sham Kaushal recently took to social media to express his profound thankfulness to God for the blessing of his grandson, Vihaan Kaushal.
A Grandfather's Heartfelt Blessings
This emotional outpouring comes after the baby's parents, Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, officially announced their son's name on Instagram on Wednesday evening. The couple shared a tender picture holding their newborn's tiny hands, a photo that has since melted hearts across the nation.
Sham Kaushal reposted the same beautiful image on his own Instagram handle. Accompanied by a deeply personal note, he wrote, "My grandson, Vihaan Kaushal, no matter how much I thank God, it will never be enough. Blessings, blessings, and blessings." The post quickly garnered love and congratulations from fans and industry peers alike.
Vicky Kaushal's New Fatherhood Fear
In a recent interview, the elated new father, Vicky Kaushal, opened up about how his life has transformed since Vihaan's birth. Speaking to Just Too Filmy, he revealed a charming and relatable new anxiety. "For the first time, I'm very scared that I might lose my phone," Vicky confessed.
He elaborated, "I've never cared much about my phone before, but now I have so many pictures, so many videos of my baby that I'm like, 'Where is my phone? I hope I don't lose it.'" He described the time spent with his son as "very, very precious" and acknowledged it as the biggest blessing of his life.
Looking Ahead: Love, War, and a Special Name
Interestingly, the name Vihaan holds a special connection to Vicky's career. It is the same name as the character he portrayed in his blockbuster film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, directed by Aditya Dhar. This coincidence has delighted fans, adding another layer of significance to the baby's name.
During the same conversation, Vicky also shared his excitement about his upcoming project. He is currently filming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. "It's on the bucket list of every actor to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film," he stated, praising Bhansali as a "unique voice from India" and a "master of the craft."
Vicky expressed feeling blessed to be part of such a project within a decade of his career. The film is currently in production and is slated for a release next year.
