Prayagraj: The Shri Shani Parivar Seva Samiti organized various rituals and devotional programs on the occasion of Shani Jayanti at the ancient Siddh Peeth Shri Shani Dham, Atarsuiya, and Shri Patalpuri Shani Tirth, Dandi Mahewa of Prayagraj on Saturday.
Rituals at Shri Shani Dham Atarsuiya
At Shri Shani Dham Atarsuiya, the day commenced with 'Panchamrit Abhishek' of Lord Shani using milk, curd, honey, sugar, and other sacred offerings under the guidance of Peethadhishwar Parag Ji Maharaj. This was followed by 'Jalabhishek' and 'Telabhishek' rituals. Devotees offered sweets and fruits to the deity. In the evening, the temple was adorned with flowers and decorative lights, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere. A grand 'Kumbh Abhishek' was performed, followed by a 'Maha Aarti'.
Celebrations at Shri Patalpuri Shani Tirth
At Shri Patalpuri Shani Tirth, similar rituals of Panchamrit bath, Jalabhishek, and oil anointment were conducted in the evening. A community feast and distribution of prasad were also organized, followed by a lamp-lit Maha Aarti.
