Music composer Shashwat Sachdev, acclaimed for his work in films like 'Dhurandhar' and 'Dhurandhar The Revenge', has also captivated audiences with the soundtrack of Netflix's 'The Ba***ds Of Bollywood'. A standout track from the series is 'Ghafoor', featuring Tamannaah Bhatia, which quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon.

Reflecting on 'Ghafoor's' Impact

Looking back at the song's overwhelming response, Shashwat described it as one of the most memorable chapters of his professional journey. “It remains one of the most fascinating experiences of my career. What stayed with me was not the virality itself but the way audiences embraced it and made it their own. As creators, we can spend months shaping something, but the moment it reaches people, it begins a new life that no longer belongs entirely to us. Watching that happen with 'Ghafoor' was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me that sometimes the most unexpected cultural moments come from simply having fun and being honest.”

Collaborating with Aryan Khan

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the composer also spoke warmly about director Aryan Khan, crediting him for fostering an environment that encouraged creativity and experimentation. “Working with Aryan was genuinely special. He possesses a level of self-awareness and preparation that is uncommon for someone so early in his journey. He understands storytelling, understands cinema and most importantly, understands collaboration. As a composer, one of the greatest gifts a director can give you is trust. Aryan gave me the freedom to interpret, experiment and contribute creatively, which made the process extremely rewarding.”

Meeting Shah Rukh Khan

During the making of 'The Ba***ds Of Bollywood', Shashwat also had the opportunity to interact with Aryan's father, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. He revealed that it was not the actor's stature but his personality that left a lasting impact. “I had the opportunity to spend time with Shah Rukh sir on multiple occasions. What stood out to me most was not his success, but his warmth. He is remarkably affectionate, generous and attentive to people. Those qualities often leave a deeper impression than achievements.”

Creative Phase Filled with Highs

With chartbusters from 'The Ba***ds Of Bollywood' and acclaimed work in 'Dhurandhar' and 'Dhurandhar The Revenge', Shashwat continues to strengthen his position as one of the most sought-after music composers in the industry, delivering projects that resonate with audiences across platforms.
