Shiwani Chakraborty on Anupamaa Fame, Audience Love Over Awards
Shiwani Chakraborty on Anupamaa Fame and Audience Love

Television actress Shiwani Chakraborty is currently winning hearts as Meeta in Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa. The actress says being a part of one of television's most loved shows has brought immense recognition, but what truly overwhelms her is the love she receives from audiences everywhere she goes.

Recognition and Connection with Audiences

Talking about the popularity that comes with being associated with a successful daily soap, Shiwani shares, 'If you are part of a good and popular show, people naturally start connecting with you and your character. Today, there are so many platforms through which audiences can find and follow actors. Earlier, it was only Google, but now social media has made that connection even stronger. After joining Anupamaa, I genuinely feel that I am receiving so much love and recognition, and I just want to continue growing with it.'

Audience Love Over Trophies

The actress reveals that audience appreciation matters far more to her than trophies and accolades. 'The audience's love is my biggest reward. Recently, I attended an event where people from every age group came up to me with so much warmth and affection. Some even travelled from far away just to click a picture with me. Moments like these make me emotional because I never imagined receiving this kind of love,' she says. While awards are certainly something she looks forward to someday, Shiwani believes success cannot be measured only through trophies. 'Of course, every actor feels happy when their work gets recognised. Awards motivate you, but there are many brilliant actors who may never win one and still receive tremendous love from people. For me, the audience's support matters the most,' she adds.

Family's Reaction and Personal Struggles

The actress also shares how emotional her family was when they learned she had joined Anupamaa. 'My family has been a huge fan of the show from the beginning. They always used to say that one day they wanted to see me in Anupamaa. So when it finally happened, they were overjoyed and extremely proud.' Shiwani further reveals that the journey wasn't entirely smooth in the beginning as she was dealing with health issues and even suffered a fracture around the time she joined the show. However, support from her loved ones and the production team kept her going. 'They constantly encouraged me not to give up. Their faith in me gave me strength during that difficult phase,' she says.

Passion for Acting

Calling herself a passionate and hardworking person, the actress says acting is what motivates her every day. 'I genuinely love my work. When you love what you do, waking up every morning and going to the set becomes exciting. I feel grateful every single day that I have work and I always want to give my hundred percent to it,' Shiwani concludes.
