The actor took to Instagram to share the distressing news and requested fans to pray for his father's recovery. According to his post, his father was admitted to the ICU on Saturday, and the next 24 hours are considered critical for his health.
Prayers Needed for a Speedy Recovery
In an Instagram Story, Shoaib Ibrahim wrote, 'Need all your prayers & duas for Papa. Papa again had a stroke this morning and has been admitted to the ICU. Please, please keep him in your prayers. The next 24 hrs are crucial.' The actor's heartfelt plea has garnered support from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
This is not the first time Shoaib's father has faced health complications. In July 2021, he suffered a major brain stroke and was admitted to the ICU. During that time, Shoaib and his wife, Dipika Kakar, urged fans to pray for his recovery. Although the stroke did not affect the veins in his brain, he was kept under observation for several days. However, the incident left him partially paralyzed on the left side of his body.
Dipika Kakar's Health Battle
The Ibrahim family has been navigating health challenges for over a year. Dipika Kakar, Shoaib's wife, was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer and had a tumor removed in June 2025. After a successful surgery, she announced that she was tumor-free. However, a few months ago, she was diagnosed with another cyst. She is now following a strict diet and exercise routine to manage her health.
Dipika and Shoaib have been transparent about her health journey, sharing updates through their vlogs on YouTube. On the professional front, Shoaib was last seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, while Dipika participated in Celebrity MasterChef but had to leave due to a shoulder injury.
