Sonam Bajwa on Delhi Memories, Fitness, and Ramp Walk at Times Lifestyle Week 2026
Sonam Bajwa on Delhi, Fitness, and Ramp Walk

Delhi may have been a brief chapter in Sonam Bajwa's life, but it left a lasting impression. The actress, who recently walked the ramp at Times Lifestyle Week 2026 and was seen alongside Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2, spoke about her fondest memories of the city.

'Shopping in Delhi is the best'

Recalling her early days in Delhi, Sonam shared, 'I remember when I had just started earning. Going to a proper store and buying whatever I wanted wasn't really an option. I also grew up in a village, so being in a city and experiencing mall culture was completely new for me. Even going to Sarojini Nagar was a huge deal. I explored whatever was around me because I had just moved to Delhi after school. I feel Delhi is one of the best places for shopping. Sarojini is my favourite shopping destination here. I do wish I could revisit some of my favourite spots and shop again because it's the best.'

About her connection to the city, she added, 'I lived in Delhi for a couple of years while trying to complete my graduation. Those were the days when I was figuring out my career. 'Where will I go? What will I do?' I did study here, but eventually had to leave my studies when I started working.'

Fitness philosophy: Consistency over seasonal goals

A fitness enthusiast, Sonam emphasised that consistency matters more to her than seasonal body goals. 'I try to stay disciplined throughout the year; it's not just about summer. I've recently gotten back into lifting after a phase when I wasn't doing it as much. I'm mindful of how many steps I take each day. Sometimes I work out twice a day or just try to stay active. I haven't set a goal just because it's summer and I want a certain kind of body. Instead, I want to stay consistent year-round. New Year's resolutions usually fade by February, but I keep reminding myself that this year I want to feel stronger and be in the best shape of my life so far,' she said.

Ramp walk experience: Learning from models

Speaking about pre-ramp jitters, Sonam revealed, 'I do feel nervous because it's not something I do every day. I have a lot of respect for models – they are phenomenal. I don't want to be the odd one out who isn't doing it right. During rehearsals, I try to pick up a few things from them. I prefer not to talk to too many people before the walk because the energy backstage is really high. I like to stay focused and be in my own zone. At the end of the day, it's exciting to step out and see so many people. Getting that showstopper moment is very special.'
