Splitsvilla Star Akanksha Chaudhary Opens Up About Financial Struggles and Life Before Fame
Splitsvilla Star Akanksha Chaudhary Reveals Past Financial Hardships

Splitsvilla X6 has concluded, with Kushal Tanwar, also known as Gullu, and Kaira Anu taking home the trophy. Among the contestants who captured significant attention was Akanksha Chaudhary, who frequently made headlines due to controversies involving fellow participants Ruru Thakur and Yogesh Rawat. Recently, she appeared on the podcast Filmy Gyan, where she candidly discussed her challenging past, personal life, and more.

Struggles with Modelling Work

Opening up about a period of unemployment, Akanksha revealed, "There was a gap in my modelling work. In Jaipur, even a small break can lead to replacement. I had a break of about a month, and during that time, I lost my assignments. When I tried to return, neither agencies nor personal projects were forthcoming. There was a time when my bank account was practically empty."

Family Support and Financial Constraints

She further explained, "My parents were not in a position to help much. My father is aging, and while we run a medical shop, my brothers handle most household expenses. My mother is a homemaker. Occasionally, I would ask my father for Rs 2,000 to cover my monthly expenses and travel costs."

"Even when I attended parties dressed up, I would travel by bike because it cost only about Rs 50. My friends and I would ask the rider to drop us a little away from the venue so no one would know how we arrived. That was my reality. Before Splitsvilla, there was a point when I didn't even have Rs 50 left. Traveling from my house to my best friend's house cost Rs 50, and I couldn't afford it. I had already borrowed money from my father that month and knew I couldn't ask for more, as he had his own expenses, vehicle instalments, and household responsibilities," Akanksha shared.

On Speaking About Struggles

Addressing her decision to share her story, the reality show star said, "If I don't talk about these struggles, people won't know. But if I do, they accuse me of seeking sympathy. That's why I never spoke publicly. Whether I have money today or not, my principle remains: after enduring such financial hardship, I will never spend even a single rupee to spread hatred or to make people love me. I would rather spend that money on my parents, my home, myself, and my friends. Those are the things that truly matter to me."
