What Happened in 2024
The reference was linked to an incident that took place on October 1, 2024, at Juhu, Mumbai. Govinda accidentally injured himself early in the morning, between 4 and 4:45 AM, while handling his licensed revolver before leaving for a trip. Reports indicated that the firearm slipped from his hand and discharged, with the bullet striking his leg near the knee. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Andheri West, where doctors removed the bullet and kept him under ICU observation. Despite significant blood loss, the injury was not life-threatening, and he was later discharged after treatment.
Initial speculation suggested possible foul play. However, family members later clarified that it was an accidental mishap during routine handling, with no external involvement.
