Tabu Blames Ajay Devgn for Her Single Status in Hilarious Revelation
Tabu Blames Ajay Devgn for Her Single Status

Tabu has always been one of Bollywood's most admired and versatile stars. While the actress won hearts with powerful performances in films like Maqbool, she also impressed audiences with comedies and commercial entertainers over the years. However, apart from her films, Tabu's personal life has often remained a topic of curiosity among fans, especially because the actress never married.

In an old interview with Mumbai Mirror, Tabu, now 54, once hilariously blamed her close friend and frequent co-star Ajay Devgn for her single status.

'Ajay and Sameer would spy on me'

Recalling her younger days, Tabu shared that Ajay and her cousin Sameer Arya would constantly keep an eye on her and scare away boys who tried speaking to her. 'Ajay and I have known each other for 25 years. He was my cousin Sameer Arya's neighbour and close buddy and part of my growing up years,' she said. 'When I was young, Sameer and Ajay would spy on me, follow me around and threaten to beat up any boys who were caught talking to me. They were the big bullies and if I am single today, it is because of Ajay,' the actress joked. She further added, 'I hope he repents and regrets what he did.'

'Please find me a boy to marry'

Tabu also revealed that she once jokingly asked Ajay to help her find a suitable partner. 'I told him the other day to please find me a boy to marry,' she shared humorously. The two first worked together in Vijaypath and have since shared screen space in several films over the years. Their friendship has remained strong both on and off screen. Talking about their bond, Tabu said, 'From among the male actors, if there is anyone I can count on, it's Ajay. He is like a child and yet so protective. The atmosphere on set when he's around is stress-free. We share a unique relationship and an unconditional affection.'

Over the years, the duo has worked together in films like Haqeeqat, Drishyam, and Golmaal Again, becoming one of Bollywood's most loved on-screen pairs. Their camaraderie continues to delight fans, and Tabu's playful blame game adds another charming chapter to their enduring friendship.
