Mohsin Akhtar, the former husband of Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar, has tied the knot with Nidhaa Bhatt, nearly two years after his separation from the star. The Kashmir-born businessman and former model shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, June 14, posting pictures from the wedding ceremony. The images showed the couple dressed in coordinated traditional outfits as Mohsin spoke about love, healing, faith, and gratitude, thanking Nidhaa for bringing light into his life.

According to The Economic Times, Mohsin Akhtar posted several pictures from his wedding with Nidhaa Bhatt on Instagram. The photos captured the couple in elegant wedding attire. Mohsin wore a cream-white traditional suit with floral embroidery, while Nidhaa opted for an off-white sharara set with golden detailing. She completed her bridal look with a sheer veil and heavy jewelry.
One image showed Mohsin down on one knee, placing a ring on Nidhaa's finger. Another depicted the newlyweds laughing together. The wedding spread also included treats and a cake on the table in front of them. Other photos showed the couple participating in official marriage rituals.

Mohsin Akhtar initially worked as a model and actor before transitioning to business. Citing The Indian Express, The Economic Times reported that he moved to Mumbai at age 21 and became the second runner-up at the Mr. India pageant in 2007. He got his first commercial break opposite Preity Zinta.
In 2009, Mohsin made his film debut with 'It's A Man's World'. He later appeared in a small role in Farhan Akhtar's thriller drama 'Luck By Chance'. Although he did not build a major Bollywood career, he later found success in Kashmiri embroidery, with his work linked to fashion designer Manish Malhotra's label.
Mohsin and Urmila Matondkar, who have a 10-year age gap, reportedly met at Manish Malhotra's niece's wedding in 2014. Manish also attended their 2016 wedding. Their marriage later encountered difficulties, and they parted ways in 2024.
Urmila began as a child artist in films such as 'Kalyug' and 'Masoom'. She made her leading-role debut with 'Narsimha' in 1991 and later became known for films such as 'Rangeela', 'Judaai', 'Satya', 'Kaun', 'Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya', 'Bhoot', and 'Ek Hasina Thi'.
