Veteran actor Dharmendra discharged from Mumbai hospital

Veteran Bollywood icon Dharmendra has been discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, where he was receiving medical treatment. The 89-year-old actor left the medical facility on Wednesday morning under the care of his family.

Hospital Discharge and Current Health Status

Dr Pratit Samdani confirmed to PTI that Dharmendra was discharged around 7.30 am as the family decided to continue his treatment at home. The medical team supported this decision, ensuring the veteran actor would receive proper care in the comfort of his residence.

The actor's sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, played active roles in arranging their father's discharge and home care setup. This development comes after false rumors about the actor's death had circulated earlier this week, causing widespread concern among his fans and the film industry.

Family Support and Clarification

Dharmendra's family, including his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol, quickly addressed the death rumors, confirming that the beloved star was stable and recovering from his health issues. The family's prompt response helped calm worried fans who had expressed concern across social media platforms.

Currently, the legendary actor is resting at home surrounded by his close family members. The entire Deol family, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol, are providing support during his recovery period.

The Enduring Love Story of Dharmendra and Hema Malini

As the actor recuperates, fans have been reminiscing about his extraordinary love story with Hema Malini that began in the early 1970s. The couple first met on the sets of Tu Haseen Main Jawan in 1970, and their relationship blossomed over the next decade despite public scrutiny and professional challenges.

Their journey to marriage in 1980 was unconventional, as Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four children. Hema Malini faced family pressure to marry Jeetendra, who was considered the sensible choice, but she followed her heart instead.

In her biography Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, she revealed: I knew people talked behind my back. Fingers were pointed, accusations were flung. But I just knew he made me happy - and all I wanted was happiness.

Even after marriage, the couple maintained an unconventional living arrangement, with Hema choosing to live separately. She explained this decision saying, I didn't want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharam ji did for me and my daughters.

Hema raised their daughters, Esha and Ahana, with remarkable grace and independence, while Dharmendra remained a consistent presence in their lives. Their relationship endured beyond traditional expectations, grounded in mutual respect and understanding.

Reflecting on their unique arrangement, Hema once stated: Nobody wants to live like this. But you accept. I am not sulking. I have my two children and I have brought them up well.

As the veteran actor continues his recovery at home, the film industry and millions of fans worldwide wish him a speedy recovery and good health.
