Vihaan Samat: Early Life
Vihaan Samat was born on March 9, 1996, in Kolkata into a Sindhi family. He was later raised in Mumbai, where he spent most of his formative years. For higher education, he moved abroad, studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he trained in method acting and graduated in 2018. He returned to India the following year.
Career and OTT Breakthrough
Samat is known for his work in OTT projects, including shows like 'Mismatched', 'Eternally Confused', 'Eager for Love', and 'Call Me Bae'. He often portrays relatable characters and has also featured in several advertising campaigns. He began his career with a small role in the film 'Worth', starring Michael Keaton. In a 2022 interview with Hindustan Times, he said, “I was studying acting, specifically method acting and then film acting. Thereafter, I wanted to hone my skills and worked a bit in the USA. My first role in a movie was with Michael Keaton, where I had one scene.” He also shared his inspirations: “I grew up watching Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. As I got older, I was exposed to Hollywood, where I watched a lot of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Marlon Brando. And then I was drawn towards Philip Seymour Hoffman, Adrian Brody, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Jeremy Strong, who are truly beautiful and incredible actors.” Discussing filmmakers he wishes to work with, he added, “Apart from Farhan (Akhtar), Zoya (Akhtar), and Reema (Kagti), I want to work with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Karan Johar, and Rohit Shetty. I also admire Advait Chauhan, Sudhir Mishra, and Hansal Mehta's work.”

Recently, Samat shared a birthday post for Radhikka Madan on social media, which quickly caught attention online. He wrote, “Happy Birthday to the most incredible woman, the queen of hearts, my partner in crime, my enabler, and most trusted confidante.
