Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay visited the Shirdi Sai Baba temple in Chennai on Wednesday to offer special prayers, a day after completing a pilgrimage to the Murugan temple in Tiruchendur. He was accompanied by senior party functionaries during the visit.

Extensive pilgrimage planned

Party sources indicated that Vijay will visit Velankanni in the coming days as part of an extensive pilgrimage to various places of worship. These visits are intended to seek a favourable outcome for his party following the 17th assembly elections held on April 23. By visiting these sites before and after his maiden electoral contest for the chief minister's post, Vijay aims to reinforce that he treats and respects all religions equally.

The actor-turned-politician has been actively engaging in spiritual activities, emphasizing his commitment to secular values. His visits to multiple religious sites reflect his effort to connect with diverse communities across Tamil Nadu.
