Television Star Vindhya Tiwari Announces Jodhpur Wedding Details
Popular Indian television actress Vindhya Tiwari is ready to begin a beautiful new phase of her life. The talented performer, widely recognized for her roles in hit TV serials like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Sasural Simar Ka, Naagin 2, and Kulfi Kumar Bajewala, will tie the knot with Ashish Lohra, a technology professional and producer, on November 25. The wedding ceremonies are scheduled to take place in the romantic and historic city of Jodhpur.
The Wedding Timeline and A Royal Destination
The couple, who formalized their relationship with a roka ceremony on July 3, has planned a multi-day celebration. Vindhya shared that the pre-wedding festivities will be held on November 24, followed by the main event, the saat phere (seven sacred vows), on November 25. Explaining their choice of venue, the actress revealed, "We chose Jodhpur because it’s a beautiful destination, and Ashish’s family is from there." Following the wedding, the newlyweds will jet off for a romantic honeymoon in the Maldives on November 29.
An Unconventional Love Story: From a Block to a Proposal
Their journey to the altar is a modern-day romance filled with persistence and charm. The pair first crossed paths professionally last year at an event where Ashish, whose production house is based in Los Angeles and specializes in documentaries, was pitching a reality show concept. "We exchanged greetings and went our ways," Vindhya recalls. The real connection began when Ashish found her on Instagram. "When he texted that he was in Mumbai and wanted to meet, I wasn’t too impressed and blocked him," she admits with a laugh.
Undeterred, Ashish reconnected through Facebook, and they finally met four months after their initial introduction. His dedication was evident as he often made the long drive from Jodhpur to Mumbai just to spend time with her. Ashish, who had been working in the US for several years, had returned to India during the pandemic to be with his parents, a decision that ultimately brought him closer to his future wife.
Finding a Soulmate and a Shared Future
Despite his efforts, love did not blossom instantly for Vindhya. "Given my past experiences, my guards were up," she confessed. "I had almost vowed not to fall in love again, but when someone is right, even the hardest heart melts." It was Ashish's sincerity that eventually won her over. The relationship deepened when their video calls started including his sister and nieces, who affectionately began calling her 'maami'.
"It was endearing, and I realised he was my soulmate," Vindhya says. "I found peace with him; he felt like my ikigai." The actress was very clear about one aspect of her future: she would not be moving abroad. "My heart is in Mumbai, and I want to continue acting. I’ve worked hard to reach here, and he completely understood," she stated, highlighting the supportive nature of their partnership.
Balancing a Thriving Career with Personal Bliss
On the professional front, Vindhya Tiwari has been focusing on films and OTT projects after taking a break from television. She has recently been seen in the film The Conversion and the web series Exit. As she steps into married life, her fans eagerly await her next moves both on and off the screen, celebrating this joyful milestone with the beloved actress.
