Vivek Oberoi's First Crore at 17: Not From Acting But Trading
Vivek Oberoi earned his first crore at 17 from trading

In a surprising revelation that challenges the typical Bollywood narrative, actor Vivek Oberoi has shared the unconventional story of how he earned his very first crore. The milestone, achieved during his teenage years, had nothing to do with the film industry that would later make him famous.

The Trading Whiz Kid

During a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, Vivek Oberoi disclosed that he was approximately 17 years old when he saw his first crore in his account. Contrary to what one might expect, this significant financial achievement came not from acting but from trading and deal-making.

"I was 16–17 years old. Seventeen, maybe around 17. It was from trading, from deals, wheels within wheels," the actor explained when asked if he remembered the feeling of seeing that first crore. He emphasized that his wealth wasn't in cash but in stock value and portfolio investments, showcasing a disciplined approach to saving and building his financial foundation slowly over time.

Financial Independence at 15

Even more remarkable than his teenage crore was Oberoi's admission that he felt financially independent as early as 15 years old. He recalled a pivotal moment with his father, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, that pushed him toward self-reliance.

"At the age of 15, when I had a small argument with my dad… I think he did it to train me to be independent," Vivek reflected. This early exposure to money management and risk-taking appears to have fundamentally shaped his personality long before he entered the world of cinema.

From Historical Drama to Mythological Epic

While his financial acumen developed early, Oberoi has been steadily expanding his creative landscape in the entertainment industry. He was recently seen in the historical action drama Kesari Veer, where both his performance and physical transformation drew significant attention from audiences and critics alike.

However, the biggest professional leap is yet to come for the actor. Oberoi will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated mythological epic Ramayana, marking another significant milestone in his evolving career.

The actor's journey demonstrates that success can come from multiple directions, with his early financial discipline and business savvy providing a strong foundation for his later creative pursuits in Bollywood.
