Whitlock Links Russini to Vrabel, Tomlin, McVay

Jason Whitlock, host of “Fearless with Jason Whitlock,” recently discussed top NFL reporter Dianna Russini and brought up three famous NFL head coaches: 50-year-old New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, 54-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, and 40-year-old Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay.

Whitlock Cites Tony Farmer’s Observation

Whitlock cited sports analyst Tony Farmer’s observation of a 2020 X (formerly Twitter) post by ESPN’s Steve Levy as the link connecting these figures. In October 2020, Levy praised sportscaster Samantha Ponder for noticing that Russini had landed interviews with both Vrabel and Tomlin on a single Sunday morning during strict COVID-19 restrictions, when even one interview was impossible for other reporters.

Fast-Food Chain Analogy

After this, Whitlock compared Russini and the coaches to fast-food restaurant chains. He praised Levy’s point but suggested an alternative tweet: “Congratulations to Dianna Russini for landing both of those interviews. All due respect to Dianna Russini: it’s like, if you catch Jason Whitlock eating at McDonald’s, it’s fair to assume that he also eats at Wendy’s, Chick-fil-A, Burger King, Carl’s Jr., KFC, Popeyes, and all the rest.”

He continued: “There she is at McDonald’s (when Dianna Russini’s alleged photos from the Sedona luxury hotel with Mike Vrabel appeared on screen). What Steve Levy is saying is, don't be surprised if she also likes to hit the Wendy’s drive-thru. And maybe Mike Tomlin owns a Wendy’s in Pittsburgh. Maybe Sean McVay owns a Chick-fil-A in Los Angeles. That’s what he seems to be pointing out more than anything.”

Correlating Russini with top NFL coaches via fast food chains may indicate Whitlock was adding fuel to her alleged photos with Vrabel at a Sedona hotel. It could also stem from his previous observation of Russini using the M*#F word.

Whitlock Shares Russini’s Confession

In mid-April 2026, when rumors about Russini and Vrabel circulated, Whitlock found a clip from the “BMitch & Finlay” radio show. He said: “She’s told you what she’s here to do in this life.” The clip reportedly featured Russini saying, “I told your producer that I don’t want to be introduced; now, I don’t want to be an insider. I don’t want to be Scoop City podcast host. I just want to be M*#F. Just straight up M*#F.”

Whitlock commented: “Now, that’s a confession. Any woman that’s going on a radio broadcast and joking and saying, ‘Hey, don’t call me an NFL insider. Don’t call me this. Call me M*#F.’ She’s confessing.” He captioned the video on X: “Dianna Russini went on some radio show and said she wanted to be introduced as a M*#F rather than an NFL insider. That’s a confession of her true aspirations.”
