Buxar District Gears Up for Grand Ustad Bismillah Khan Mahotsav

The historic town of Dumraon in Buxar district is set to come alive with classical melodies this Saturday as it hosts the Ustad Bismillah Khan Mahotsav. This prestigious music concert is being organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of the world-renowned shehnai maestro and Bharat Ratna awardee, Ustad Bismillah Khan.

The event will take place at Raj High School in Dumraon, with preparations actively underway under the supervision of the district administration and the information and public relations department. According to Dumraon SDM Rakesh Kumar, who spoke on Friday, all efforts are being made to ensure the event's success, with the administration fully alert regarding security, seating, and logistics.

"The programme aims to provide a platform for both eminent and local artists while paying tribute to Ustad Bismillah Khan, who was born in Dumraon on March 21, 1916," Kumar added, highlighting the dual purpose of the festival.
