Details of the Alleged Harassment
According to the police statement, Rebba reported receiving an abusive comment from a fake Instagram account. In her First Information Report (FIR), the actress provided a detailed account of the incident, explaining that during the promotional activities for her recent film, an individual operating a meme or social media account posted what she described as an "obscene, sexually explicit, and defamatory" comment on a public social media page.
Impact on Mental Well-being
Rebba emphasized the severe emotional toll this incident has taken on her mental health. She stated that the language used in the comment was deeply disturbing and derogatory, amounting to mental harassment. The actress expressed that such content not only targets her dignity as a woman but has caused significant emotional distress and public humiliation.
In her complaint, Rebba elaborated: "This incident has caused significant mental turmoil and anxiety. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated occurrence, and similar abusive comments continue to surface repeatedly, indicating a growing pattern of misuse of social media platforms to harass and intimidate individuals under the guise of anonymity and freedom of expression."

Based on the FIR registered under the Information Technology Act, authorities have launched a formal investigation into the matter. Rebba has provided details of the alleged social media user to the concerned authorities and has requested appropriate action against what she describes as the misuse of digital platforms for harassment and obscenity.
The actress added in her complaint: "I respectfully request the concerned authorities to kindly look into this issue, take appropriate action as deemed fit under the relevant provisions of law, and ensure accountability for the misuse of digital platforms for harassment and obscenity. I am ready to cooperate fully with the investigation and provide any further information, evidence, or clarification required."
